Sweet Coin Alabama would not be possible without the influence and generosity of my grandfather, Frank DuVall.
My grandfather was the person who first taught me about coins and helped develop the passion for collecting that ultimately became Sweet Coin Alabama. Over the years, he built an incredible collection of gold, silver, and numismatics. He gave me not only the knowledge and passion, but also the foundation that helped make this business possible.
His accomplishments extended far beyond numismatics. He was a World War II veteran, a highly respected government employee for more than 20 years, and the author of more than 40 books. He was also instrumental in founding the Society for U.S. Commemorative Coins and earned countless Best in Show honors at coin shows throughout his years of collecting.

But his greatest contribution to Sweet Coin Alabama can’t be measured in ounces of gold or silver. It was the knowledge he passed down, the appreciation for history he instilled in me, and the understanding that every coin has a story.
